Here to help.

I have been an approved CGC Evaluator for the American Kennel Club (#93744) since October, 2016. I teach classes a few times per year in different locations. I have guest taught CGC as well as Rally and Agility Foundations classes at Clever Paws in Boise. I have also taught CGC and Puppy S.T.A.R. classes as a volunteer through the Idaho Capital City Kennel Club (ICCKC).

Due to Covid-19, classes have been postponed or reduced in size over the past year and a half. Some test items have also been adapted to provide for more physical distancing. For more about Official AKC CGC Policies regarding Covid-19, click here.

Please contact me to find out about current classes. If I don’t have a class scheduled that works for you I’m happy to recommend some trainers for you. You may also view the upcoming schedule of classes offered through Idaho Capital City Kennel Club.

I currently conduct CGC Evaluation and Testing services when possible at AKC Sanctioned Matches and the Idaho Capital City Kennel Club Training Center. These were mostly postponed in 2020 but I hope to begin scheduling these again in soon.

I can also conduct CGC and Trick Dog tests for clubs, classes, 4-H youth and service dogs in training upon request.

I will perform CGC Evaluation and Trick Dog Testing for other interested groups in the Treasure Valley for a base $25 travel/time fee plus $10 per dog/handler team tested. Teams passing the test will receive an official AKC ribbon.

I do not charge a fee for testing 4-H youth participants and service dogs in training.

Please note that there is an additional fee to apply for the CGC Title Certificate through AKC, and that is the responsibility of the handler. Passing teams will receive forms and instructions for completing this optional step.

Please use the contact form to inquire about any other upcoming training or testing opportunities.
